What's our project?
With our partner, NY Sun Works, we'll build a hydroponic farm classroom that will be accessible to all students during and after school hours. This will provide a safe and innovative learning environment where students build positive relationships with peers and teachers, engage in project-based, hands-on, and real-world learning on urban farming and hydroponic systems, understand the roles they play in caring for these systems, and learn about their larger role in producing fresh, nutritious food.

By having access to a hydroponic farm-classroom, Launch students will walk away with strengthened leadership and citizenship skills that will allow them to be change makers equipped to tackle and solve the many challenging issues we face: including gun violence, climate change, and environmental & systemic racism Let's work together to build a better district and better world!
