New Family Events

Learn more about the plans for Launch High School at Floyd Bennett Field. The next generation will be tackling climate change, food injustice, and systemic racism. Sitting in the classroom won’t be enough to prepare tomorrow’s leaders. That’s why we’re developing a state-of-the-art high school campus on Floyd Bennett Field. It will be the first school in our city intentionally designed to advance sustainability and racial equity.

The Launch community is committed to building a better world.  Better World Day is an annual, national event showcasing student learning that contributes to a better world at EL Education schools, like Launch, across the country.  All 300 members of the Launch community will volunteer with The Campaign Against Hunger (TCAH) to help end hunger in our community.  Students, parents, teachers, staff and alumni will come together to plant at two TCAH farm sites, stock and support the super market style food pantry, and create packages for local children experiencing homelessness.
