Presentations of Learning

Presentations of Learning

Student Led Conferences (SLCs) are a student-centered and student-led alternative to parent-teacher conferences. At SLCs students present evidence of their growth and learning to their Crew Advisor and family members.  SLCs generally take place in the middle of the second quarter.

Exhibitions are showcases of formal performances and expedition products that invite families and community members into the school to serve as an authentic audience and honor student learning. Exhibitions take place in the Spring, and the public is invited to attend.

Presentations of Learning (POLs) are end-of-year presentations done before a panel of teachers, family members, and experts to demonstrate a student’s evidence of growth over the course of an entire school year. POLs will take place over several days in June, at the conclusion of the school year.
